About

WAGNER FOX

A musician, songwriter, and lots of other stuff

I’m Wagner Fox—a musician, songwriter, and time traveler born in 1987 .. except that the Wagner you’re meeting right now… probably doesn’t exist anymore.

Here I AM

Nice to meet you.

The one writing these words, producing these songs, and putting albums out—well, apparently, he’s doing this now. But considering I’ve managed to take songs written in 2002 and bring them to life in 2025, can we really say time works the way we think it does?

For all I know, I might be collaborating with my past, present, and future selves—all working together across some parallel universe of lost melodies to make this happen.

Watch the video, see me in 1989. See me in 2019. Who’s really behind the music? Maybe all of them. Maybe none. But one thing’s for sure—you’re here now. And so is the music.

My journey

Why, how and when it all begun.

I decided to learn guitar when I was 11, the first time I heard Julia from The Beatles’ White Album. That haunting melody struck something deep inside me.

At first, all I wanted was to cover The Beatles. As life started happening, songwriting became the way I let it all out. It was like therapy.

While cleaning up (my own stuff I could retrieve from my ex), I found an old hard drive buried in my stuff. I didn’t even know if it still worked. But it did — and inside were 226 songs and 4 terabytes of music files. Takes, demos, ideas I thought were forever lost. (By the way, Forever Lost is a song by The Magic Numbers I only came across in 2009 — try it if you haven’t heard it yet.)

Those songs were waiting for me. And now, 23 of them are finally ready to be heard, some are coming out one by one. 203 to go.

Sharpening

My inspirations and influences.

My life was forever changed the moment I heard The Beatles — and not just the band, but John, Paul, George, and Ringo individually. Each of them taught me something about music, about emotion, about identity.

The albums by The Beatles, the Traveling Wilburys (George, Jeff Lynne, Bob Dylan, Roy Orbison, and Tom Petty), PaulGeorge, and even Ringo shaped how I write, how I play, and how I feel.

Over time, I discovered Elliott Smith — found his music through an episode of Rick and Morty, and Between the Bars hit me in a way few songs ever have.

There are other songs that hit me hard emotionally, like Ticket to the Moon by ELO and You Took My Breath Away by the Wilburys.

On my darkest days, when life made no sense, there was one song that saved me over and over again: I’ll Be There for You by The Rembrandts. I watched all 10 seasons of F.R.I.E.N.D.S on repeat for six years, never once skipping the intro.

I came, I tried, I still don't know

Who am I, really?

The thing is, I can’t answer that yet and I’m not sure I’ll ever do it.

Behind the music, I’m just a guy with a big heart, a love for stories, and a house full of cats.

Life surprised me while working on a cruise ship. I fell in love. That spark turned into a marriage, a return to land, and the arrival of two incredible daughters. They gave me purpose, a new rhythm to live by.

No promisses

Should you stay or should you go?

I make music for the ones who’ve been through storms, who laugh through their scars, and who believe in the power of a good melody to say what words can’t.

If you’ve ever felt lost and found yourself through music… well we already speak the same language.

You can find me on all major streaming platforms, and follow my journey on social media, where I share random stuff like a regular person, song breakdowns, and glimpses of the beautiful chaos of being an artist, a father, and a human.

Want to support an independent artist? Stream the songs, share them with a friend, or just say hi. Every message, every listen, every smile: it all matters more than you know.
